Job description

Position Overview

We are currently hiring Structural Welders for a marine project in Pascagoula, MS. This role involves welding structural metal components based on blueprints, work orders, and supervisor instructions in a shipyard environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Weld structural metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders
  • Perform welding on butts and bulbs in all positions (including vertical and overhead)
  • Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards
  • Complete tank testing and related duties as required
  • Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently
  • Follow all site safety procedures and guidelines

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of metallic and non-metallic material properties
  • Ability to pass required UT (Ultrasonic Testing) and MT (Magnetic Particle Testing)
  • Must be able to pass a hands-on weld test in vertical and overhead positions
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum: 3 years of 1st Class Journeyman Marine Welding experience (preferred)
  • Previous: welding experience in a shipyard or industrial environment
