Structural Flux Core Welding

EVALUATION HIRE

$20 - 21 / hr.

Day Shift: 6 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Structural Flux Core Welder for a local client in Livingston Parish. This position involves structural welding, fabrication work, and contributing to high-quality production in a fast-paced industrial environment. The company maintains a strong reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and safety.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES for Structural Flux Core welder: 

  • Welding steel parts in various directions:
    • Flat
    • Horizontal
    • Vertical or Overhead
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment
  • Ensure weld quality meets company and industry standards
  • Examining finished products and spare parts, comparing them with samples
  • Responsible for setting up
  • Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final product
  • In charge of the necessary tools needed to perform the task

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Must be 21
  • Must be able to pass the welding test given by the company
  • Strong understanding of fabrication techniques
  • Ability to lift materials and work in a shop environment
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
  • Experience working with structural steel
  • Familiarity with shop tools (torches, grinders, saws, etc.)
