Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified General Cardiologist with fellowship training in Structural Heart Imaging to join our large, multi-subspecialty cardiology team at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center, located approximately 25 minutes northwest of Atlanta. This physician will play a key role in delivering advanced cardiovascular care and providing expert structural heart imaging support.
The Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care is the largest and most comprehensive provider of cardiovascular services in northwest Georgia. Our Cardiac Network spans 11 hospitals and more than 30 outpatient locations across metro Atlanta. With over 90 physicians and 80+ advanced practice providers, we offer the full continuum of cardiac care, including cardiothoracic surgery, structural heart, electrophysiology, advanced imaging, complex coronary and structural interventions, mechanical circulatory support (including ECMO), and advanced heart failure. A robust clinical research program provides meaningful opportunities for academic and investigative involvement.
Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is a nearly 700-bed, Level I Trauma Center and a regional destination for advanced cardiac care.
Recognized as a Level I Emergency Cardiac Care Center, Kennestone is consistently ranked in the top 10% nationally for coronary artery bypass surgery outcomes and holds Joint Commission Gold Seal Certifications for CABG, heart valve repair and replacement, and heart failure. The hospital features a dedicated CVOR, state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratories, a hybrid operating room for structural heart procedures, a 12-bed CVICU, and an 18-bed CICU.
Our Structural Heart and Valve Program was the first in Georgia and the fourth in the nation to achieve the Joint Commission and American Heart Association's Comprehensive Care Center Certification, the highest distinction in cardiovascular care. The program offers a truly multidisciplinary, patient-centered model, bringing together cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, advanced imaging specialists, and cardiac anesthesiologists to care for patients with complex structural heart disease.
