Structural Steel Positions – Fort Polk, LA

TradeForce Staffing Solutions is hiring experienced structural steel professionals for the new construction of a 50,000-square-foot, two-story child development center for the military.

Project Details

  • Location: Fort Polk, Louisiana
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Duration: Approximately 5–6 months
  • Schedule: 40–50 hours per week, typically four or five 10-hour shifts; may increase to six 10-hour shifts as needed
  • Per Diem: $130 per day worked
  • Requirements: Must pass a five-panel drug test and background check

Available Positions

Foreman – 1 Opening

  • Pay: $40 per hour
  • Must be able to read blueprints and oversee the project from start to finish
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills required
  • Responsible for overseeing the structural steel erection for the project

Structural Welders – 2 Openings

  • Pay: $35 per hour
  • Must be able to stick weld structural steel in horizontal and vertical positions
  • Responsible for welding structural steel during the erection of the facility

Steel Connectors – 2 Openings

  • Pay: $35 per hour
  • Minimum of two years of steel connector experience required
  • Responsible for connecting structural steel members during erection

Ironworkers – 2 Openings

  • Pay: $25 per hour
  • Previous ironworker experience required
  • Responsible for the erection, assembly, installation, and modification of structural and miscellaneous steel
