Project Overview:
Craig Technologies is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Bechtel and Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Craig Technologies scope of service in Sentinelโ€™s current Engineering amp; Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.
A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Craig Technologies has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. We use our expertise to help our customers securely and effectively transform mission delivery.
Job Summary:
In this role as Structural Engineer, you will support the structural design for the project. This will entail originating structural calculations, specifications, material requisitions, and technical studies or reports. Additionally, checking of design drawings and review and coordination of vendor information. Work with other Structural engineers and technical disciplines in a team environment. #LI-SF1
Major Responsibilities:
Designs structures using knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering
Originates structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions
Prepares specifications and related documents
Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations
Provides direct support to other engineering disciplines for Structural related matters
Reviews structural drawings and design details
Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals
Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines
Assists in preparation of quantity takeoffs.
Assists in constructability reviews
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Registered Engineer in Training (E.I.T. or equivalent)
Experience with Microsoft office programs, and other common computer programs
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Working knowledge and application of the AISC Steel Construction Manual, ACI 318, IBC and ASCE 7
Broad knowledge of the application of Structural engineering design principles.
Previous experience using structural analysis software such as GTSTRUDL or STAAD.Pro

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience executing engineering and design with Tekla software
Design experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide
Intermediate knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or SpecsIntact
Registered Professional Engineer in USA (Civil or Structural Engineering)
Masterโ€™s degree in Structural or related Engineering discipline from an accredited university
Possess active security clearance
Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense
The salary range for this role is $85,000 โ€“ $115,000; however, Craig Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidateโ€™s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
