Job description

As a Project Engineer Structural, you will play a vital role in delivering structural engineering solutions to a wide range of clients. Your responsibilities will include performing field diagnostics, engineering analysis, and calculations, as well as designing and developing plans and specifications. You will also be involved in observing and inspecting construction projects, and preparing and reviewing related reports. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all drawings and construction work adhere to the agreed-upon plans and specifications.

From general practitioners to specialists, our national Facilities professionals know facility systems from curb to rooftop. As a member of our team, you'll join licensed architects and engineers delivering services for new construction and existing facilities including building enclosure consulting and testing, facility asset management, due diligence, ADA and accessibility consulting, facility condition assessments, and more. Be it one parking lot or a 100-building portfolio, we create sustainable options for our clients' buildings, assess and extend service life where applicable, increase performance, and help them maximize the value of their capital expenditures.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering consulting or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
  • Proficiency in using structural analysis software and relevant design tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Perform field diagnostics, engineering analysis, and calculations for structural projects.
  • Design and develop plans and specifications for structural engineering projects.
  • Observe and inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Prepare and review reports related to structural engineering services.
  • Review drawings and provide recommendations to ensure compliance with structural requirements.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and consultants.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices in structural engineering.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing their queries and concerns.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met on all project sites.
