Schaefer's office in Phoenix, Arizona is primed for growth. With the backing of the resources and talent of over 90 staff members in our Ohio offices and remote team members across the US, this new addition to our Phoenix team will work on national public and private projects. Our engineers crave knowledge and cultivate new skills designing diverse structures. We hire individuals that bring their best every day.
Scope of Work
  • Design and detail efficient structures that are code compliant, accurate and high quality
  • Act as the Project Engineer on multiple projects that vary in size and complexity
  • Develop skills in software like RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, MathCAD, and RISA 3D
  • Manage project cost through effective planning and prioritization
  • Develop strong client relationships
Qualifications
  • BS in Civil or Architectural Engineering, MS preferred
  • Structural engineering experience in building design, including intern or co-op experience is preferred
  • Certified as EIT

Working conditions and physical requirements
This work is typically done within an office environment with occasional field work at project + construction sites. When field assignments are required, the working conditions + physical requirements for field staff apply.
