Indotronix is seeking an :Structures Payloads Design Engineer Level 2,North Charleston, SC

Duration:6 Months 
Shifts: 1st shift roughly 8am-3pm
Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree

Job Description

The Structural / Payload Design Engineer supports the development and integration of structural and interior payload system designs. This role focuses on design, testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure systems meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, integrating, and documenting structural and payload system requirements

  • Support system design and component development activities

  • Perform and support testing to validate and verify system performance against requirements

  • Coordinate with suppliers to support design optimization and program goals

  • Provide support to production teams during first-time or complex builds

  • Contribute to development of new design processes, tools, and methodologies

  • Support research of emerging technologies for future product designs

  • Develop, modify, and maintain designs using 3D CAD tools

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

  • 2+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with no prior experience

  • Experience with 3D CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, etc.)

  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering and production teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 2+ years of experience in aerospace design and engineering release processes

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage assigned tasks effectively

  • Familiarity with FAA Part 25 and/or EASA regulations
