A Structural Design Manager oversees the planning, design, and coordination of structural engineering projects such as buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure. They lead a team of engineers and drafters, ensuring that designs meet safety standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. Their role includes managing project timelines, budgets, and collaboration with other departments like architecture and construction. Structural Design Managers also review and approve design calculations and drawings, and often liaise with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a structural design manager?

To thrive as a Structural Design Manager, you need deep expertise in structural engineering principles and project management, typically backed by a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or structural engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Job description

Job Title: Senior Site IT Operations Analyst
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Site IT Operations Analyst to act as the primary on-site technical authority for our facility's technology infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between corporate IT services and manufacturing-floor technology, ensuring that both office-based users and industrial-floor systems remain operational.
This is not a traditional "help desk" role. You will handle everything from high-level incident resolution and network administration to the physical coordination of facility infrastructure (cabling, power, and environmental controls). If you are a seasoned IT professional who thrives in industrial environments, enjoys project coordination, and is comfortable communicating with both engineers and business stakeholders, this is an excellent opportunity to manage a diverse, high-impact technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
Endpoint & Infrastructure Operations
• Technical Resolution: Serve as the escalation point for Level 1/Level 2 incidents. Ensure all service requests are fulfilled within SLA targets while maintaining a customer-first approach.
• Systems Administration: Provision and maintain the entire end-user hardware fleet (laptops, peripherals, mobile devices). Lead the rollout of Windows OS updates, security patches, and deployment images in partnership with Endpoint Engineering.
• Facility Tech Lifecycle: Manage physical office and manufacturing-floor technology, including network printers, conference room AV, digital displays, and specialized industrial hardware.
IT-OT Convergence & Projects
• Operational Technology (OT) Support: Provide critical support for the implementation of new manufacturing technologies. Coordinate the procurement and integration of IT/OT solutions to ensure seamless connectivity.
• Network & Security: Partner with engineering teams on Network Administration, Vulnerability Response, and Security Incident Response. Act as the facility's "eyes and ears" for physical infrastructure maintenance (fiber/copper cabling, power, HVAC).
• Documentation & Governance: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of technical tips and installation procedures. Manage logical/physical IT asset tracking for the site.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Industry-standard certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) or equivalent professional networking experience.
• Experience Baseline: 5+ years of IT-industry experience, with a proven background in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
• Technical Mastery: Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server (2019/2022), TCP/IP protocols, and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
• Industry Safety: Understanding of "Safe Work Permit" processes and industrial safety protocols.
Preferred Attributes
• Proven project coordination experience-you have successfully managed IT deployments from procurement to delivery.
• Hands-on experience with industrial printing hardware (e.g., Zebra, high-volume copiers).
• Ability to travel periodically to support other facilities within the regional network.
