Chipton-Ross is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • Required experience with FEA software including NASTRAN and PATRAN.
  • Airframe primary structure layout and sizing
  • Hand/Excel based analysis of aerospace structures
  • NASTRAN and PATRAN or HyperMesh
  • Catia V5.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for performing stress analysis on new designs of primary and secondary airframe structure, as well as updating existing analyses to incorporate design changes.
  • Candidate must be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings and models..

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • Familiarity with Slim, Vision, and IDAT, 3Dx a plus.
  • Experience in stress analysis of subsystems and subsystems installations desired.
  • Experience with MRB stress analysis of metallic and composite structure desired.
  • Experience using Altair HyperMesh as a pre-processor and TMP Vision for post-processing desired. • Experience with CATIA V5/3DX highly desired. Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX operating systems desired.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Accredited Bachelor's Degree.

WORK HOURS
  • 4/10

ADDITIONAL
  • Active Secret with an investigation within 5 years or CE enrolment. Previous approval to SAPs desired.
