Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients by reviewing medical histories and performing targeted physical assessments to determine appropriate treatment protocols.
  • Design and administer treatment plans based on clinical assessments, patient goals, and state-of-the-art therapy techniques. Regularly revisit these plans to adapt goals as necessary based on patient progress.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities and exercises specific to orthopedic rehabilitation, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities that effectively address patient needs.
  • Document all patient care activities meticulously, including initial evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Ensure compliance with our organization’s standards and state regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in regular consultations with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to provide integrated and effective patient care.
  • Participate in facility meetings and professional development sessions as required, contributing insights to improve operational effectiveness and patient care quality.
  • Foster an environment of open communication, ensuring that patients, their families, and healthcare partners are well-informed and engaged throughout the rehabilitation process.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve treating adults who require rehabilitation following orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will develop rapport with a diverse patient population, empowering them with the knowledge and tools needed to manage their conditions effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid physical therapy license issued by the state of Virginia.
  • Current CPR certification.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, with a proven track record of successful patient outcomes.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices is beneficial.
  • Continuing education in specialty areas, such as sports rehabilitation or manual therapy techniques, is advantageous.
