Support Staff Teacher (Floater)

Do you enjoy variety, teamwork, and supporting children across different age groups? Strong Start Early Care & Education in Trumbull is hiring a Support Staff Teacher (Floater) to join our warm, professional team in a NAEYC-accredited early childhood program.

Support Staff Teachers play a key role in our center. You'll move between classrooms as needed, helping maintain consistency, quality, and strong relationships throughout the day.

This position is perfect for an educator who is flexible, dependable, and passionate about high-quality childcare.

What You'll Do

As a Support Staff Teacher, you will:

  • Float between classrooms to support children and teaching teams
  • Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom coverage
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
  • Support positive behavior guidance and social-emotional development
  • Build relationships with children across infant, toddler, and preschool rooms
  • Follow all state licensing, NAEYC, and center policies
  • Collaborate with teachers and leadership to maintain quality care

  • At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting
