About This Role

The Registered Nurse, Level 2 in Imaging Sciences at Strong Memorial Hospital is responsible for providing competent direct patient care and supporting unit activities. This role is ideal for RNs with 1-2 years of acute care experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Provide direct patient care based on established standards.
  • Contribute to unit activities and enhance the care delivery system.
  • Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
  • Assume expanded roles including charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Gain exposure to various radiologic specialties including CT, MRI, PET, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and GI/GU/Fluoroscopy.
  • Develop a diversified skill base in radiologic nursing.
  • Maintain current knowledge of radiologic nursing practices.
  • Obtain ACLS certification within one year.

Education:

  • RN degree required

Experience:

  • 1-2 years in acute care preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Current RN License in New York
  • ACLS certification required within 1 year
