Strittmatter Companies is a trusted leader in site development, excavation, and trucking. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Dirt Foreman to manage grading and excavation operations across active construction sites. This is an exciting opportunity for a reliable, safety-conscious leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is ready to make a lasting impact on our projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and direct removal of soils and materials per contract, budget, and timeline
  • Supervise multiple work activities across various jobsite locations
  • Read and interpret jobsite and grading plans/drawings
  • Manage field crews while emphasizing safety and productivity
  • Conduct Tool-box Talks and promote a safe work culture
  • Work with GPS grading equipment and tools
  • Utilize Microsoft Office for project management and reporting
  • Be available for weekend work as required

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities
  • Proficient in the use and operation of heavy equipment
  • Familiarity with GPS-based grading and site layout
  • Able to use company software, tablets, and smartphones
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with owners, general contractors, and subcontractors
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing/walking for extended periods, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Requirements:

  • Dependable, responsible, and safety-minded
  • OSHA-30 and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge of site safety, truck maintenance, and road regulations
  • Experience with dump truck logistics and time management
