Job description

Performs skilled work in the operation of various airless and air-type line stripers. Installs and maintains traffic pavement markings and painting of other airport facilities per plans or blueprints; operates vehicular/non-vehicular mounted paint equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:
  • Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of experience in airport or traffic markings.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
The selected candidate for this position:
  • Must obtain a FL Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsements within 11 months of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience with Federal Aviation Administration/Department of Transportation (FAA/DOT) guidelines related to pavement markings (must specify on application) ,
  • Experience reading blueprints/sketches,
  • Knowledge of Advisory Circulars and Airport Marking Standards (must specify on application) , and
  • Three (3) years of experience in airport/roadway maintenance and various equipment used in the striping industry.
