About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies-from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups-use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The Cards team at Stripe is responsible for the infrastructure, user facing features, and business of accepting credit, debit, and pre-paid card payments. Delivering the best offering for processing credit, debit, and prepaid cards is critical to Stripe's mission, given the central role card payments play in internet commerce.
What you'll do
As a Staff Product Manager for Cards Monetization at Stripe, you'll be responsible for pricing Card payment products worldwide. Everyday - You'll balance the needs of our customers and competitive landscape, while helping Stripe maintain its margins.
At Stripe, Product Managers help build innovative payments products for our customers. Product development is an extremely collaborative effort between engineering, design, analytics, operations and customer-facing teams. You'd be joining a team of experienced Product Managers who have a track record of successfully building large-scale business and consumer products that are collectively impacting millions of users around the world.
This strategically critical role offers significant exposure to Stripe's leadership as you will drive initiatives to create observability into Stripe's margins and revenue realization on Cards, define pricing principles and streamline pricing operations. Working with Sales teams, you'll build out B2B pricing stack, ensuring we automate bundling and discounting decisions. Finally, you'll work backwards from merchants to define and deliver new pricing models that meet the needs of their growing businesses.
This is a highly cross-functional role - On a day to day basis, you will spend your time between meeting customers (both internal and external), and working with your engineering, operations, analytics, network partnership, pricing, finance and GTM counterparts. You will use the voice of the customers, go deep into data, and leverage ML/GenAI as you define pricing strategies and build margin and revenue monitoring and alerting systems.
In short, you'll own business growth through pricing optimization. Unsurprisingly, your decisions will have millions of dollars of impact to Stripe's business.
Responsibilities
Lead Card IC+ pricing/product. Launch Stripe's IC+ pricing on Cards in new geos and grow adoption with enterprise users.
  • Ensure we enable GTM teams with the right tools and cost assumptions to streamline sales and customer success processes for IC+ product.
  • Lead Cards Monetization for Stripe. You'll be defining what Stripe charges for card transactions worldwide. You'll define pricing principles, drive pricing decisions and operationalize those decisions working with pricing, finance, marketing and GTM teams.
  • To effectively set prices, you'll work with engineering and data science to build observability into current pricing, margin and revenue realization. You'll drive insights, and translate those into pricing recommendations.
  • You'll define processes for competitive analysis and regular pricing audits. Over time, you'll work with engineering and data science to automate pricing processes.
  • You'll research best practices pricing automation (such as algorithmic bundling and discounting), and build out an end to end B2B pricing automation stack at Stripe.
  • You'll work backwards from customers, and keep a keen eye on competitors to identify new pricing models. You'll build the business case, find ways to test, and if validated, work across the company to launch the new pricing models.
  • On a daily basis, you'll work with various stakeholders across the organization, including Engineering, Design, Data Science, GTM, Pricing, Marketing, PMs and Operations to drive flawless execution on product and pricing initiatives.

Ultimately, you'll co-own revenue growth and margin improvements for Cards business through IC+ launches and pricing improvements.
