Job Summary:
Vectra AI is a leader in AI-driven threat detection and response for hybrid and multi-cloud enterprises. They are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Fusion engineering team, focusing on building systems that ingest, process, and analyze network cloud telemetry such as flow and DNS logs.
Responsibilities:
• Design and build scalable backend systems using Go and Python
• Develop and evolve high-throughput data pipelines for network flow and DNS telemetry
• Architect systems for real-time and near real-time data processing
• Improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of platform services
• Lead design and code reviews, setting a high bar for engineering quality
• Drive cross-team architecture and platform alignment
• Partner with product and detection teams to deliver shared platform capabilities
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and ownership
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years of experience building distributed systems at scale
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) and experience with Python
• Experience with streaming or data-intensive systems (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Flink)
• Solid understanding of network telemetry (e.g., flow logs, DNS)
