Job description

NVIDIA's GeForce Now, the next-generation gaming service powered by NVIDIA GPUs in the cloud, transforms a Mac, any PC, or just a mobile device into a high-performance gaming rig. GeForce NOW automatically keeps games up-to-date, and users around the globe can instantly stream the latest games in high-definition resolution at the lowest latency for the smoothest gameplay. Just click and play.

Visit us at https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now. In addition to gaming, the state-of-the-art low-latency streaming technology has expanded to a new range of applications, including augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and robotics. We are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Streaming with strong C++ skills and a deep interest in streaming technologies to join a team of highly skilled and motivated software engineers who help build the next generation of applications with media and data streaming capabilities

Now, are you passionate about driving this technology to its edge. Do you understand various streaming protocols. Can you solve complicated problems and propose innovative solutions.

Then, we are keen to hear from you. What you'll be doing: Design, develop, optimize, and debug C++ software for ultra low-latency streaming systems. Build and improve media streaming pipelines using technologies such as WebRTC, GStreamer, RTP/RTCP, and related protocols.

Analyze CPU, memory, networking, media pipeline, and scheduling behavior across real-world workloads. Work across Windows, Linux, QNX, applications frameworks, and embedded platforms. Define and implement KPIs for networking quality, streaming quality, and user experience.

Integrate streaming software with platform services, connectivity layers, and/or automotive system components. What we need to see: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of proven experience in C++ software development, optimization, and debugging.

Strong understanding of operating systems, multithreading, memory management, networking, and systems programming. Ability to debug complex issues across software, OS, media pipelines, platform, and hardware boundaries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a self-motivated approach.

In-depth knowledge of WebRTC architecture, peer connection lifecycle, ICE handshake, and real-time protocols (SRTP, DTLS-SRTP, SCTP). Ways to stand out from the crowd: Hands-on experience with streaming protocols and technologies such as RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, and QUIC. Experience with video codecs and formats such as H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, AV1, color spaces, or hardware-accelerated encode/decode

Experience with QNX, QNX Safety, Linux, or embedded operating systems for safety-critical platforms is a strong plus. Experience with automotive software, telematics, connected vehicle platforms, infotainment, or car connectivity. With competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology industry's most desirable employers.

We have some of the most forward-thinking and versatile people in the world working with us, and our engineering teams are growing fast in some of the most impactful fields of our generation: Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Autonomous Vehicles. If you're a creative engineer who enjoys autonomy and shares our passion for technology, we want to hear from you.
