JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIESIF YOU ARE AN EXISTING TEAM MEMBER, PLEASE CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK TO BE TAKEN TO THE INTERNAL CAREER SITE: MOHEGAN INTERNAL CAREER SITEPosition Summary:This position is responsible for the daily activities of beverage department personnel and VIP Lounges to ensure adherence to department policies, procedures and steps of service.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:Assists in the training, evaluating and scheduling of the beverage staffMaintains the overall appearance of lounges which includes sanitation control, overall food presentation and quality, food transfers and requisitioning of supplies and beveragesControls access to the lounges and guest amenities in the absence of upper managementConsistently monitors patrons checking levels of intoxication and applies refusal of service and shutoff procedures, if necessarySecondary Duties and Responsibilities:Maintains all par levels of china, glass, silver, paper, plastic and restaurant suppliesWorks with Stewarding and EVS to maintain health, safety and sanitation guidelinesWorks with Engineering to maintain the outlet’s furniture, fixtures and physical layoutAssists with on-going coaching programs with line employees to enhance skillsRecommends hiring as well as termination decisions in conjunction with the disciplinary processMinimum Education and Qualifications:Two years of experience as a Beverage Server, Bartender or Butler in a high volume, complex casino environmentExcellent knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service and shutoff proceduresCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsThorough knowledge of operational policies with regard to hours of operation, types of menus offered, restaurant concepts and marketing programsKnowledgeable in point of sale system, Stratton Warren, Word, Excel and Lotus NotesExcellent knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, glassware, garnishes and all beverage service techniquesExcellent knowledge of the overall property and gaming floorComplete knowledge of the shift bidding processTraining Requirements:Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and proceduresMust complete the Core Supervisor training programKnowledge of Ascent and EmpowerTime systemsSMART alcohol awarenessLMS Compliance Courses – Harassment, Confidentiality and Problem GamblingPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of timeMust be able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment with frequent interruptionsMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hoursThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with this job.
