Requirements:

VMG Health is seeking a Manager to join the team!  This role of the Manager contributes to the success of the firm by effectively managing engagements, client interactions and staff, to achieve outstanding results.  The Manager also identifies business development opportunities, both with existing and new clients, and is responsible for thought leadership.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure staff understands clients’ needs and produces excellent work.
  • Interpret and synthesize the work of staff and draw meaningful conclusions and implications from data.
  • Produce client-ready deliverables with succinct, well-supported conclusions and recommendations.
  • Develop frameworks, learning materials, or assets to help build service line knowledge.
  • Assist with presentation development for RFPs, client proposals, project deliverables, and external speaking events. Present at internal speaking events as requested.
  • Oversee and support Consultants and Senior Consultants, providing timely, relevant, and constructive feedback.
  • Leverage staff, delegate, and instruct, being accountable for deliverables to be on time and on budget. Notify leader of any concerns regarding budget and opportunity to discuss budget adjustments with the client.
  • Build and foster strong client relationships, serving as the primary contact, demonstrating executive presence, and receiving high satisfaction feedback on engagements.
  • Support leadership with operational activities, serving as a role model to more junior staff.
  • Demonstrate innovation by seeking potential technology solutions to deliver product more efficiently and/or accurately.
  • Cultivate a network of industry contacts in support of business development efforts. Gets involved in a professional association and attends network events.
  • Supports the team with publishing.
  • Complete administrative functions, mandatory training, and other internal responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Review monthly billing promptly to support timely and accurate billing of clients.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and assignments as defined by departmental and company need.
  • Oversee increasingly complex engagements.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a positive work environment.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree with relevant work experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of consulting experience; 6+ years of healthcare industry experience 


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Demonstrates attention to detail and commitment to excellent work product and client service. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrating responsiveness to clients and colleagues. 
  • Basic competence in public speaking. 
  • Ability to demonstrate insight and professional judgment, with an aptitude for critical thinking.
