Job description

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends.

Full Time and Part Time available.

  • 1-2 years' RN experience Sign-on bonus $13,000 for nightshift only
  • 3-4 years' RN experience Sign-on bonus $15,000 for nightshift only
  • 5+ years' RN experience Sign-on bonus $20,000 for nightshift only

    • Up to $20,000 Loan Forgiveness for new grad nurses
    • Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 per year

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • Physical requirements/demands:
    • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
    • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
    • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Unit Information:

3D is a Med-surg Telemetry unit which focuses on adult medical patients that require telemetry monitoring. Join our Innovation Unit (IU), which will be a "testing ground" for new innovative/optimization ideas to solve current and future nursing challenges & opportunities using quick PDSA cycles for improvement. All projects will reside under our four ministry wide nursing strategies for improvement. Here you will develop excellent critical thinking and assessment skills as well as use a wide variety of clinical skills.
