Examples of Duties
  • The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship and related business disciplines.
  • Teaching assignments may include face-to-face, online, hybrid, evening, weekend, and off-campus instruction.

The faculty member will be expected to:
  • Teach a full instructional load while maintaining excellence in teaching and student engagement.
  • Develop and deliver innovative, experiential learning opportunities that connect classroom instruction with real-world entrepreneurship and business practice.
  • Advise and mentor students interested in entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, and small business development.
  • Foster partnerships with entrepreneurs, business leaders, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and economic development organizations to enhance student learning and community engagement.
  • Support entrepreneurship programming, student business competitions, incubator or accelerator activities, outreach initiatives, and workforce development efforts.

Typical Qualifications
  • The preferred candidate will possess an earned Ph.D. or MBA from an AACSB-accredited institution in Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Management, Strategy, Innovation, Finance, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, or another closely related business discipline.
  • Candidates with significant executive, entrepreneurial, business development, or economic development experience that supports entrepreneurship education are encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants should demonstrate evidence of teaching effectiveness, curriculum development, professional leadership, business consulting, entrepreneurship education, scholarly or professional engagement, and/or industry experience that supports instruction in entrepreneurship and related business disciplines.
  • Candidates should be qualified, or have the potential to qualify, as Scholarly Academic (SA), Practice Academic (PA), A Scholarly Practitioner (SP), or Instructional Practitioner (lP) under the College's AACSB faculty qualification standards.
  • Individuals with substantial professional accomplishments, executive leadership, business ownership, government, nonprofit, or economic development experience are encouraged to apply.
