Job description

The Purchasing Buyer supports a fast-paced manufacturing environment by sourcing, managing, and maintaining critical materials and vendor relationships. This role ensures accurate purchasing, reliable inventory levels, and timely issue resolution to keep production running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
  • Works with internal customers to plan, source, and manage floor stock and consumable materials.
  • Purchase of office supplies, accessories, spare parts used in a PCBA manufacturing environment and MRO materials.
  • Create and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Monitor delivery performance and quality performance of vendors.
  • Set inventory levels of frequently used items and maintain stock to support all manufacturing activities.
  • Process purchase orders, packing slips, invoice, and other pertinent documentation.
  • Escalate issues related to delivery, quality, out-of-stock, etc..
  • Identify continuous improvement strategies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain processes and reporting for responsible items.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with all transactions, both financially and systematically.
  • Detail oriented. Including records and communication retention, process documentation, et al.
  • Ability to work in a mixed office/manufacturing environment, including continuous standing, sitting, typing, lifting, etc..
  • Ability to work as business needs require which may include long days, occasional evenings and weekends, and occasional travel for business meetings or training.
