Job description

Lumanity is seeking intellectually curious, team-oriented individuals eager to roll up their sleeves and help biopharma clients address their most important challenges.  Through Lumanityโ€™s Strategy Consulting internship program, you will gain exposure to a wide range of projects across the pharma and biotech product life cycle, ranging from pre-commercial strategy and pipeline prioritization to go-to-market strategy and new product launches. 

As a Strategy Consulting intern, you will develop foundational skills that will serve you well throughout the remainder of your academic studies and into your professional career.  You will build these skills in a vibrant and intellectually stimulating environment alongside our global, multidisciplinary team of deeply experienced industry professionals, subject matter experts, and proven problem-solvers. Youโ€™ll receive formal training and hands-on project experience with the support of dedicated advisors and engage in frequent social activities designed to connect you with colleagues across the organization and enhance your summer experience. With our entrepreneurial culture and relatively horizontal organizational structure, you will interact regularly with case team managers and Lumanity leadership, benefiting from their mentorship and experience.

The internship program will take place over 10 weeks from mid June through mid August 2027. Interns will work in a hybrid environment out of either our Boston, MA or New York, NY office. 


  • Gather and effectively leverage primary and secondary research to address our clientsโ€™ business problems.
  • Perform in-depth analyses to gain insights to products, markets, and competitors.
  • Prioritize key issues, build and test hypotheses, and transform key learnings into to practical implications.
  • Support the development of client deliverables, including slide presentations and workshop materials.
  • Engage in out-of-the-box thinking to help craft innovative, actionable insights for our clients.

  • Strong academic record
  • Demonstrated interest in life science/biopharma industry
  • Demonstrated quantitative aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to apply generative AI and other digital tools to elevate the delivery of secondary research, complex data analysis, and other project outputs.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel a plus
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate and/or masterโ€™s degree program with a completion date in 2028
