Summary
As Marketing and Communications Manager, you will support the agency by developing, implementing and measuring a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to increase sales targets, brand visibility, and employee engagement.ย  This role provides day-to-day leadership over the coordination and execution of all facets of internal and external marketing efforts. You will lead a team tasked with messaging, content creation and creative asset development that carry Ross & Yergerโ€™s brand. You will also execute internal employee engagement initiatives and develop internal communications channels to support the overall team experience.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Voice and External Presence
  • Steward Ross &Yerger's public-facing brand voice across all channels โ€” digital, social media, print, and in-person
  • Develop, execute and measure a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that furthers Ross & Yergerโ€™s position in the marketplace and facilitates internal and external communications
  • Set and monitor quality standards for marketing collateral and brand assets, which include but are not limited to:
ย ย ย ย ย ย  -Custom presentations, special projects
ย ย ย ย ย ย  -Press releases, newsletters, white papers, blog posts
ย ย ย ย ย ย  -Photo, video, and graphic assets; digital marketing content for social mediaย ย ย ย 
Sales Enablement
  • Champion the Sales Enablement function to foster new client acquisition and growth
  • Maintain a close, trust-based working relationship with Producers and Account Executives; serve as a strategic partner
  • Oversee the proposal and RFP execution process
  • Ensure the quality and strategic positioning of all materials
  • Collaborate with producers to translate their expertise and relationships into differentiated pursuit strategies and compelling written materials

Campaigns and Market Intelligence
  • Define channel-specific goals and objectives to ensure our message reaches desired audiences effectively
  • Monitor strategic marketing initiatives and campaign performance, and utilize data to inform future decision-making and resource allocation
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, audience segments and emerging channels

Events and Internal Engagement
  • Plan and execute an annual events strategy for both external (prospect and client development) and internal audiences
  • Exercise creativity with promotional materials and branded โ€œswagโ€ for internal and client-facing events
  • Partner across the agency to develop programs and experiences that foster connection, recognition and sense of belonging to strengthen internal team experience
  • Manage internal communications touchpoints, including the agency intranet, monthly organizational calendar, digital signage and other engagement vehicles

Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop marketing team by setting direction, removing barriers, and elevating the work of others
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and support to help team members grow in their roles and deliver high-quality work
  • Prioritize team workload, align resources with agency needs, and ensure projects are completed efficiently
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of progressive marketing and brand experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership and proven record of working collaboratively across departments
  • Experience in a variety of industries is preferred; insurance or professional services experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), Canva and content management systems
  • Familiarity with social media marketing best practices
  • May be asked to come in early and/or stay late on occasion to help with various projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; skilled in editorial judgment, including written and designed content, with attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities across a collaborative stakeholder environment
