The internship will be a general Finance internship that will provide opportunities to work in the Controllership function of American Express Finance.

    The below represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

    Minimum Qualifications
        Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree program
        Students must have a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
    Preferred Qualifications
        Ability to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data, spot trends, generate meaningful insights and develop recommendations to drive growth 
        Strategic thought leadership and creativity in synthesizing data into an easy-to-understand story and articulate key messages across multiple audiences
        A strong work-ethic, positive attitude, and highly motivated self-starter with robust interpersonal skills, adapting to change and showcasing the ability to build trust-based relationships within the Finance team and with business partners across locations / geographies 
        Acting and leading with courage, making decisions quickly, initiating and driving change management processes

    All interns receive a project solving a real business challenge for the organization. The project will include: 
        Providing best-in-class analysis and decision support to the Finance organization 
        Learning how to articulate decisions clearly and gain buy-in from stakeholders across the business 
        Gathering and analyzing information from a wide array of sources; identifying trends and articulating how those trends impact our business
        Obtaining a comprehensive understanding of the business and its needs 
        Honing analytical acumen, communication skills, and the ability to tailor complex messages to the appropriate audience
        Participate in other initiatives and support the Controllership organization as assigned.
