Job description

The Front Desk Office Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for Strata's Durham headquarters and plays a critical role in shaping the day-to-day experience of employees, candidates, and visitors. This role is responsible for maintaining a professional, welcoming, and well-managed front desk environment while helping ensure the office remains secure and runs smoothly.
This is a highly visible role suited for someone with strong presence, professionalism, and judgment. The ideal candidate brings energy and initiative, takes ownership of their space, and is comfortable balancing consistent front desk responsibilities with additional operational and HR support over time.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Ownership & Presence

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, visitors, vendors, and candidates
  • Maintain a consistent, professional, and welcoming front desk presence throughout the day
  • Monitor access to the office, verify visitors, and confidently address unfamiliar or unauthorized individuals
  • Manage visitor check-in, registration, and direction within the office
  • Support VIP guest and candidate arrivals to ensure a seamless experience
  • Answer and direct incoming calls
Office Operations Support
  • Stock and maintain break rooms and shared spaces
  • Maintain conference rooms to ensure they are clean, organized, and ready for use
  • Support office supply inventory and ordering
  • Assist with general office organization and upkeep
HR & Operational Support
  • Support HR team with administrative and operational tasks as needed
  • Assist with basic reporting or data tracking as assigned
  • Provide backup support for travel coordination when needed
Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate or customer-facing role
  • Strong professional presence and communication skills
  • High level of reliability and consistency
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable using judgment and handling sensitive situations
