What are Straddle Carrier Operator jobs?

Straddle Carrier Operator jobs involve operating large, specialized vehicles called straddle carriers, which are used primarily in ports and container terminals to lift, move, and stack shipping containers. Operators are responsible for safely transporting containers between ships, storage yards, and trucks, ensuring efficient cargo handling. Straddle Carrier Operators often work in busy port or terminal environments, where efficiently maneuvering large containers in tight spaces is a key challenge. Operators must stay highly focused to avoid accidents and ensure cargo is handled safely, especially during high-traffic periods or adverse weather conditions.
