Job Title:
HVAC Service Manager (Warranty Department)
Job Summary:
The HVAC Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the start-up and warranty operations, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing a team of technicians, handling warranty claims, implementing best practices, and coordinating with vendors and internal departments to improve service efficiency.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Lead, train, and mentor HVAC Start-Up & Warranty Technicians.
  • Manage scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and warranty procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the troubleshooting, start-up, and warranty processes for residential HVAC systems.
  • Ensure all heating & cooling equipment is installed correctly and meets operational standards.
  • Manage customer warranty claims and service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers to stay updated on warranty policies and new technologies.
  • Track warranty trends and provide recommendations to improve service efficiency and reduce callbacks.
  • Maintain a database of product registrations, warranty claims, and customer service interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance processes and improve overall customer experience.
  • Provide training and technical support to team members on troubleshooting and service procedures.
  • Monitor and report on team performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong technical knowledge of residential HVAC systems.

  • EPA Certification: Preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work in attics and confined spaces.
  • Available for on-call schedules and extended work hours as needed.
