Job description

Overview
The Senior Specialist, Communications - Store Operations & Learning plays a key role in supporting effective communication, training, and learning initiatives across Catalyst Brands' retail portfolio. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure store associates and leaders receive clear, concise, and timely communications that support business priorities, operational execution, and employee development.
This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining communication strategies and learning support materials that drive engagement, knowledge retention, and operational excellence. The Senior Specialist manages communication channels, supports learning program deployment, maintains department resources and web-based content, and assists with the administration, reporting, and continuous improvement of training and development initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and distribute clear, concise, and timely communications to store associates and leaders across Catalyst Brands, ensuring alignment with company priorities, operational initiatives, and business objectives.
  • Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of training programs, learning resources, job aids, and development materials for retail associates and leaders.
  • Assist in the administration and ongoing management of learning platforms, communication channels, and related technologies, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and current.
  • Maintain web-based content, resource libraries, and sites that support operational communications, training initiatives, and employee development programs.
  • Support the planning and execution of brand specific training, compliance training, and other employee development activities.
  • Manage databases, content repositories, and reporting tools used to support communication and learning initiatives.
  • Support the execution of assigned functions, special projects, and strategic initiatives that drive associate engagement and business performance. Participate in planning activities and provide project coordination and support as needed.

Qualifications
  • Takes initiative and remains adaptable in a fast-paced environment, responding effectively to changing business needs, priorities, and opportunities with short notice.
  • Works collaboratively across functions to balance competing priorities, build alignment, and achieve desired outcomes. Effectively manages multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging communications and learning content for diverse audiences and organizational levels.

  • 4+ years in a retail store environment or corporate environment (store experience strongly preferred)
