Job Description
About the Role
Vuori is looking for an Assistant Store Manager of People Experience who will play a pivotal role in the success of our retail store through a focus on team experience and customer service excellence.
As an Assistant Store Manager of People Experience at Vuori, you partner with the General Manager to create employee engagement and customer service strategies, promote a culture of excellence through the ownership of sales & service and floor leadership programs. You live and breathe hospitality and your passion for exceptional service sets the tone for customer experience across the entire team. You know that team experience drives customer experience ,and it's your responsibility to ensure your people are clear, confident, and cared for. You understand that excellence comes from intentional practice, creating a space in the store that is rooted in learning, trust, gratitude, and fun. You'll inspire and grow high-performing teams, foster a positive and inclusive work environment, and empower your people to consistently deliver results across our retail priorities.
Beyond team and service leadership, you'll champion local community engagement and cultivate meaningful relationships that reflect Vuori's values and lifestyle. You deeply understand how systems within our business impact one another and uphold all product operations and visual merchandising SOPs and working routines.
What You'll Get to Do
People
  • Partner with the General Manager to plan and implement hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training, development, and engagement strategies for store employees
  • Own and implement a unique store engagement strategy that aligns with our annual retail priorities and uses meaningful meetings to drive those priorities through SMART goals, training, coaching, and feedback to your team.
  • Support the General Manager in promoting a culture of excellence, emphasizing open communication, trust, respect, punctuality, accountability, and commitment to role responsibilities among staff members.
  • Champion a safe and healthy work environment by proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential hazards or risks, and implementing best practices and safety protocols.

Customer Experience
  • Lead the store implementation of Vuori's sales and service strategy, ensuring excellence and consistency across all customer interactions and touchpoints.
  • Intentionally spend time on the sales floor during peak segments of business, prioritizing that time to role model excellent floor leadership and drive business results.
  • Analyze quality of service KPIs and results, and identify themes. Lead a recognition strategy that rewards behaviors that generate great customer experience, and adjust strategy when needed.
  • Observe Floor Leaders and Sales Associates on the sales floor, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Empower employees to make decisions and resolve customer issues independently, while providing guidance and support as needed.

Community
  • Assist in the implementation of community initiatives. This includes highly effective product promotion, team sweat, and community event strategies that position the store as a destination for both shopping and community involvement.
  • Represent the Vuori brand while in store and at community events.

Product
  • Assist in the implementation of product operations initiatives to enhance efficiency in inventory management and product handling.
  • Lead the execution of daily and weekly product operations tasks, including inbound and outbound product shipments, role-modeling and upholding Vuori's SOPs.
  • Assist in the implementation of visual merchandising initiatives, including new product flips, mannequin looks, in season product management, and overall in-store standards.

Finance & Labor
  • Assist the General Manager in schedule and labor management, adhering to all company scheduling best practices and applicable local and state labor laws.
  • Assist in management of store expenses, fully utilizing allocated budget to recognize team performance and drive business results.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Available morning and/or evening, work 8 hour shifts, 5 days/week, available at least 1 weekend day.
  • 4+ years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience, showcasing the ability to effectively lead and inspire a team towards achieving common goals.
  • Established track record in retail sales leadership, driving sales targets through strategic planning, execution, and team motivation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, excelling in the art of coaching, motivating, and mentoring team members to consistently deliver outstanding performance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail operations, including expertise in inventory management, visual merchandising principles, and implementation of highly effective sales techniques.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, while maintaining a reputation for impeccable punctuality and reliability.
  • Demonstrate exemplary leadership qualities that align with Vuori's culture, with a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Commit to upholding Vuori's brand standards and values, promoting sustainability, wellness, and community engagement across all store operations.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying merchandise, and climbing ladders as needed.

The hourly range for this role is $23.31/hr - $27.11/hr, plus team pooled commission.
