Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

The HR Representative role will be responsible for directly supporting employees and leaders in the recruiting, employee relations, learning and development and benefits administration efforts at the facility. This role will provide a helpful, professional, and confidential presence for all employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

1. Provide daily human resources support in a cold storage facility. Duties include recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, investigation support, employee benefits and timekeeping support.
2. Build trusting relationships with both leaders and employees through genuine interactions and support
3. Serve as a trusted business partner and counsel for local leaders on employee relations, recruiting and learning and development issues.
4. Drive employee engagement initiatives to ensure high levels of job satisfaction for all Arcadia employees.
5. Manage communications within the facility. Create social media postings, newsletters, presentations and other media forums to keep employees up to date on company initiatives and happenings
6. Advocate and support location’s safety and security policies. Ensure OSHA compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Minimum of 2+ years' prior experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
3. Experience working in common HR information and applicant tracking systems preferred
4. Must be able to work in a matrixed-reporting environment
5. Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
6. PHR or equivalent certification a plus
