Job description

Title: Forklift Operator I

Duration: 3 Months Contract

Location: Appleton, WI, 54911

Shift: M-F: 4AM to 12PM

Qualifications

  • Would need to be comfortable operating a packaging line.
  • Simple operations which consist of pushing a button and allowing a tote / drum to fill.
  • Assigned responsibilities would be limited to: Material handling - moving material to/from a warehouse Labeling drums
  • Labeling totes
  • Packaging drums and totes
  • Keeping the area clean/organized
  • Up to 2 people can be working on the filler at a time - one operating the filler; one on a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • May unload goods from vehicles such as trucks.
  • Moving goods packed on pallets around the storage facility, Stacking goods in storage locations, following inventory control instructions,
  • Checking loads are secure, Stacking empty pallets, Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the trucks battery and lubricating equipment,
  • Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.

Qualification requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required,
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
  • Maintain a clean & safe environment.
  • Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operators license may be required, Forklift certification per OSHA standards
