Job description

We are seeking a Lead Storage Engineer to join our team supporting the Department of Transportation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • 7–10 years in storage engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.

Certifications

  • NetApp NCIE or Dell EMC Storage Engineer
  • ITIL v4

Education

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or information technology.

Clearance

  • Public Trust.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Department of Transportation experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages storage architecture, backup, and data replication ensuring compliance with retention and DR policies.

  • Administer SAN/NAS environments (NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage).
  • Ensure backups, snapshots, and replication integrity.
  • Maintain storage capacity plans and performance metrics.
  • Support continuity of operations (COOP) and DR testing.

Target salary range:$120,000 - $150,000.The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined based on several factors, including the individual’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The listed salary represents one component of the total compensation package for employees.
