Job description

Wilsonville Self Storage is seeking a reliable and professional Full-Time Facility Manager to run daily operations at our property. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, managing day-to-day operations and marketing initiatives, providing exceptional customer service, and taking pride in maintaining a professional, well-run facility. This position does not include on-site housing.

Responsibilities

·        Open and close the office

·        Answer the phone on the 1st ring

·        Set a high bar for customer service in person and on the phone

·        Show storage units to prospective customers

·        Lease units and process rental agreements

·        Accept and process rent payments

·        Perform general administrative and clerical duties

·        Conduct periodic property walks to ensure the facility is clean, secure, and operating properly

·        Perform cleaning and office upkeep

·        Assist customers with questions and problem resolution

·        Coordinate with vendors and service providers, including landscapers, maintenance contractors, and utility providers

·        Work closely with ownership to report on and implement best business practices, including: payment controls, facility management software integrity, property cleanliness/repairs/integrity, safety, customer feedback, streamlining move-ins and move-outs, Google reviews, landscaping, rodent and insect control scheduling, and garbage collection

Qualifications

·        Self-storage work experience preferred; references a plus

·        Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision — ownership is based out of state, so this role requires real autonomy and trustworthiness

·        Track record of stability: minimum 5 years of tenure at one of your last two positions

·        Takes direction easily and communicates clearly with ownership

·        Comfortable with computer and office software; experience with self-storage management software a plus

·        Physically capable of walking the property and operating roll-up storage unit doors

·        Strong customer service and communication skills

·        Dependable, punctual, and professional

·        Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and sound judgment in all aspects of the role
