PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bookkeeping of all school activity accounts; purchasing for school/teachers; correspondence for principal/school; record keeping/reporting for school.
PAY GRADE: 231 Day- Grade 09 Salary Range $38,197.00 to $61,924.00. Salary placement will be based on Douglas County Board of Education approved salary schedules and years of verified relevant experience.
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 231 Days (12 Months)
REPORTS TO: Principal
EDUCATION LEVEL: High School Graduate
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years experience in secretarial and general office work; school experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: None
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if working and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PROFICIENT SKILLS: Computer and bookkeeping/record keeping skills; general knowledge of all office equipment; maintain confidentiality; ability to perform job under pressure; ability to communicate in a professional manner with students, parents, staff and community both orally and in writing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
  2. Maintains all bank accounts for school activity accounts.
  3. Maintains all record keeping for school accounts.
  4. Enters and maintains all purchasing for school/teachers.
  5. Processes all leave forms for school.
  6. Produces correspondence for principal/school.
  7. Process school records for records center storage.
  8. Assist attendance clerk when needed.
  9. Follows written and oral instructions well.
  10. Enters all maintenance requests for school building.
  11. Orders all custodial supplies.
  12. Supervises office staff.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
