POSITION SUMMARY

The role of Warehouse & Tooling storage Tech. plays a critical role in ensure the smooth flow of production operations by delivering materials, molds, cutting scrap, maintaining inventory of items, etc. This role provides support in the production departments when needed. This role is responsible for safely operating a forklift with high pedestrian traffic. This role performs under established guidelines and criteria.


RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Fulfills the production support needs of Fiber Pad and duties can vary from day to day.
  • Responsible for maintaining Tooling inventory, checking items out for production team and checking them in when returning to warehouse and the racking system.
  • Update tool location in Visual system to maintain accurate tool storage location
  • Participates in tooling inventory audits.
  • Operate forklifts to safely and effectively move materials and tools between and inside buildings to get them to production lines.
  • Utilizes bandsaw to cut scrap when needed.
  • Operate forklifts and reach trucks safely to move products within the warehouse, to place and pull items from the racking system.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while handling materials and operating equipment.
  • Assist in all phases of housekeeping to keep the facility clean and organized to help maintain a neat and tidy work area.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned by leadership.


Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 6 months forklift experience, prefer 1 year.
  • Experience with inventory management.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely, following all safety requirements.
  • Basic computer skill, familiarity with MS products is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in materials preparation, tool picking, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment, and willingness to motivate and support others, supporting the Core Values of Fiber Pad.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • Ability to use hands including fingers to hold, touch, see, feel, grip, squeeze, push and pull.
  • Ability to perform pushing, pulling, forward exertion on a regular basis.
  • Ability to see near and far, utilize peripheral vision and depth perception for tasks being performed.
  • Ability to have overhead extension with arms on a regular basis
  • Ability to use enhanced levels of manual dexterity with arms and hands to operate taping and packaging materials, forklifts regularly and industrial power tools occasionally.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously on concrete floor for 8-hour shifts
  • Ability stand, crouch, stoop, bend, kneel and squat frequently.
  • Ability to bend and twist at the hip and waist area on a regular basis
  • Ability to rotate neck to look backwards, up, down and sideways on a regular basis
  • Ability to regularly lift and or move 45-55 lbs.
  • Ability to understand and communicate verbally, in person and over paging system
  • Ability to meet requirements of and utilize all PPE when required

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
