Job description

What are we looking for

At Stone Systems (www.stone-systems.com) we are looking for a Lead Installer for our Shop in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Operators control and manipulate machinery in a wide variety of fields to produce goods, make repairs or join our systems together.

 
What you will do

Under the direction of the Installation Manager, the Lead Installer is responsible for supervising and executing the installation of custom-made countertops, tiles, and various other applications for retail customers and new home constructions with the help of an Associate Installer. This role is responsible for making sure all installations are done in accordance with the project design and specifications.

Job Expectations:

  • Oversee all installation jobs and ensure that they are completed within time frames
  • Digital Measure and install all Dekton, K&B's, and HOT jobs.
  • Prepare and cut materials in the shop, as well as at the job sites
  • Solve any installation problems and monitor job repairs
  • Read and interpret architectural blueprints
  • Manage daily reports
  • Reports change/check orders and manage documents related to the installation before arriving at the location. 
  • Load jobs and tools in the truck and carry them to the customers' location.
  • Inspect every job at the shop to ensure that meets our quality standards.
  • Responsible for getting the highest scores from our customers.
  • Responsible for ensuring Health and Safety procedures and safeguards are enforced
  • Train other measures and installers
What you need to succeed

EXPERIENCE
Required:
3+ years of experience with installation
Desired:
2+ years in the Stone Industry

EDUCATION
Required:
High School Diploma/GED

KNOWLEDGE
Required:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) 
Bilingual - English/Spanish

SKILLS
Required:
Ability to multi-task and work in an extremely fast paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
Able to use power tools effectively
Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs.
