Description

Lakeside Renovation & Design is looking to hire a dedicated and experienced stone mason who is looking to continue to grow and hone their craft. Our ideal candidate will have a base knowledge of all aspects of residential construction as well as broad experience using industry standard construction tools and installing the latest construction materials to the products best practice. The candidate must have the ability to manage day in and day out customer expectations, keep a safe and clean jobsite, and work with a team of 1-2 others.  


Reports to: Assigned Lead Carpenter/ Project Manager 


Job Summary: Stone Masons are responsible for coordinating and completing the work of a job with an assigned crew according to a scope and schedule drafted by the Project Manager while simultaneously delivering Lakesides Values and Mission to redeem the culture and experience of the construction industry.  


 Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Installation of architectural cut stone (granite, marble, limestone, sandstone) & related support steel & anchors  
  • Erection of stone masonry dry-stacked walls  
  • Tuckpointing, caulking, masonry cleaning  
  • Stone repairs including dutchman and various types of fracture repairs 
  • Use proper materials and equipment  
  • Ensure a safe working environment for self, other employees, and customers  
  • Prepare each work environment with appropriate equipment to protect customers' property, furniture, and home  
  • Properly clean up after every job and properly dispose of any materials  
  • Additional duties not listed in the job description may be assigned  

Requirements

 Qualifications:  

  • 2+ years of relevant experience  
  • Must have a valid driver's license  
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting and labor  
  • Ability to stand for long periods  
  • Must be able to handle heavy labor  
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check (or have proper medical card?)?  
  • Must be willing to commute to jobs within the St. Louis Metropolitan area
