A stockroom associate organizes the merchandise in a retail storeroom. Job duties include receiving and unpacking deliveries, inspecting items for damage, tagging items and entering them into inventory, organizing stockroom shelves, and placing merchandise on the sales floor. You have minimal customer interaction in this job. The qualifications for a career as a stockroom associate include completing on-the-job training, good organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently with little supervision. Prior experience is not usually necessary.
