What You'll Do
OVERVIEW:
The Stocking Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all equipment operators, warehouse stocking management, Shipping/VAS/Stocking needs, production standards, and all equipment. The main objective will be to ensure the efficient and smooth functioning of all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing products. You will lead a team of warehouse staff and work closely with other departments to meet our operational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee picking and put away for all departments to determine where equipment operating staff are needed throughout the shift.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of warehouse equipment operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure productivity and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job reports, assignments, and results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and Ensure production standards and deadlines are met.
  • Ensure all safety guidelines for equipment operation are being followed by team members.
  • Look for ways to improve processes and productivity
  • Maintains staff by orienting, training employees and developing personal growth Completing employee evaluations and reviews
  • Payroll timecard verification, updates and approvals.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy of department by staying actively engaged in lift operator activity as well as routine movement within the warehouse with focus on various safety and inventory issues.
  • Assist in researching inventory issues to try to determine reason(s) for inventory problems and who potentially created the problem.
  • Ensures focus of operation of equipment by logging needed repairs onto the maintenance log and sending email to the Maintenance supervisor as well as Operations manager.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Oversee that equipment is maintained and in proper condition at the end of each shift..
  • Perform 5s (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) to maintain the warehouse.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the warehouse.
  • Responsible for monthly coaching of associates.
  • Other duties as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
  • Requires forklift experience on a majority of Wilson's current equipment and must be trainable on equipment not familiar with.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control principles.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and operating warehouse machinery.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using warehouse management systems, inventory software, and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
