Job Description
About the Position
The Stocking & Wholesale Fulfillment Group Lead has the primary responsibility of supporting the Fulfillment Center in both Stocking tasks as well as Wholesale Fulfillment functions. This role is highly versatile, and candidates should be prepared to have their tasks changed on a day-to-day basis. This associate will use their prior equipment skills to meet stocking demands quickly, efficiently, and safely, while also having a deep understanding of our system and various Wholesale Fulfillment functions. Some of the Wholesale Fulfillment functions include, but are not limited to, waving, replenishment need investigation, picking, shortage investigation, value-added services (VAS), routing, manifesting, and shipping. This role is integral to our inventory processes, and candidates will be expected to maintain high levels of accuracy at all times.
A day in the life...
  • Perform and monitor all receiving and stocking functions within the fulfillment center located at 800 3rd Avenue, King of Prussia, PA 19406
  • Perform the operational functions that maintain the flow of work of Wholesale Fulfillment.
  • Maintaining a "safety first" mindset while using powered equipment and performing all functions within the FC.
  • Be sufficiently cross trained to assist in all Fulfillment Center Departments
  • Assist the operation of company sale events.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to others.
  • Meet deadlines while respecting the Merchandise.

The seven major areas are discussed below.
Perform and monitor all receiving and stocking functions within the fulfillment center located at 800 3rd Avenue, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
  • The Stocking and Wholesale Group Lead is responsible for the unloading and storage of all delivered receipts, returns, and samples shipped via UPS, FedEx, and USPS to the fulfillment center at 800 3rd Avenue. Delivery of all inbound mail and office packages should be completed on the same day it was delivered by the Post Office.
  • Assist with managing the floor locator for the E-Commerce and Retail/Wholesale department for each season/year. The locator should group like deliveries together and provide a layout that supports an efficient pick path.
  • Communicate with the Receiving team on priorities to maintain a 24-48-hour service level for initial stocking. After an Inbound License Plate Number (ILPN) label is applied to a carton, it should be stocked in either a forward or back-stock location within 24-48 hours.
  • All cartons must be slotted to be put away in their proper locations according to the current season locator. This includes teaching associates the correct way to cut cartons once in a location, consolidate ILPN's when needed, and determine whether cartons should be placed in forward back stock or actual back stock.
  • Assist with put-away, floor moves and consolidations. Actively support the movement of inventory and maintain a clean and organized back-stock area.
  • Work with Stocking and Wholesale Fulfillment Management to decide what inventory should be moved to backstock and what inventory should remain in current season racks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and workable dock both indoors and outdoors.
  • All outgoing parcels and mail collected from the facility located at 781 3rd Avenue should be delivered to the packaging station located adjacent to the Senior Director's office.
  • Assist with the transferring of units between buildings. This includes driving the company truck, loading/unloading pallets, and pulling/stocking inventory in active picking locations.

2) Perform the operational functions that maintain the flow of work of Wholesale Fulfillment.
  • Perform all the daily operational tasks that maintain the flow of work of the Wholesale Fulfillment department. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Wave orders in WM
    • Print and distribute labels and/or tasks.
    • Run and complete Replenishment Assignments
    • Support the Wholesale Shipping Group Lead
    • Provide instruction and guidance to any Fulfillment Center Associate assigned to the Wholesale Fulfillment Department on any given day.
    • Regularly check for unconfirmed cartons in the WM dashboard
  • Oversee the Wholesale Picking Floor while working in a hands-on manner in order to ensure that all Wholesale orders are picked correctly and sent to the Shipping Department in a manner that enables the Shipping Team to quickly process each order.
  • Assist the Shipping Group Lead with overseeing the VAS area to minimize Account Chargebacks for our Major Accounts by following routing guidelines for each Major.
  • Assist the Shipping Team with sending picked orders from the Wholesale picking area to the VAS area while handling any complications with the conveyor or flow of packages.
  • Assist the Wholesale Fulfillment and Stocking Supervisor with the inventory maintenance of all Wholesale Boxes. Notify the Supervisor when orders need to be placed for these materials.
  • Ensure that all orders are confirmed and sent to Shipping by using the WM dashboard to identify unconfirmed cartons.
  • Assist the Inventory Group Leads by researching shortages to confirm cartons when they need assistance. When either the Inventory Control Manager/Supervisor or the Inventory Control Group Leads are absent, the Stocking and Wholesale Fulfillment Group Lead is expected to serve as a larger support to research shortages.
  • Take the lead during the later hours (3:00-7:00). The Stocking and Wholesale Fulfillment Group Lead is expected to prepare for each day by understanding the priorities and order flow expectations before his/her shift begins.

3) Maintaining a "safety first" mindset while using powered equipment, and performing all functions within the FC
  • As a powered equipment user, it is your responsibility to have a heightened sense of awareness while using our various machines. You will be required to abide by signage in the warehouse, use spotters when needed, and be a catalyst for safety within the fulfillment centers.
  • During all aspects of working within the fulfillment centers, safety is key and should be at the forefront of everyone's minds. You will be expected to not only act in a safe manner, but also report any unsafe behavior you see to your direct Supervisor.
  • Pallets, plastic wrap, and cardboard must all be disposed of in the proper areas.
  • While processing Majors and/or Pack and Hold orders, you are expected to keep all staged pallets organized, labeled, and wrapped appropriately to ensure a smooth and efficient pick-up.

4) Be sufficiently cross trained to assist in all Fulfillment Center Departments
  • Be able to assist in other areas as directed by a Supervisor, Manager or the Senior Director of Fulfillment, Logistics and Facilities.
  • This includes picking, packing, processing returns, VAS, E-Commerce, receiving, stocking, employee sales, and perpetual inventory counting.
  • As new challenges arise, the Stocking and Wholesale Fulfillment Group Lead will need to be able to learn new skills and understand new processes to be effective.

5) Assist with the operation of company sale events
  • Assist, as directed by a Supervisor, Manager, or the Senior Director of Fulfillment, Logistics and Facilities, with the operation of employee sales and giveaways. This includes the setup, operations during the sale, take down of the materials, and returning goods to stock.
  • Operate the employee sales and giveaways in a manner which enables the Fulfillment Center to provide reasonable service levels during the sale.

6) Provide leadership and motivation to others
  • Serve as a good role model and personally conduct oneself in a diligent, professional, punctual manner. At all times remain serious about getting the work done on time and accurately.
  • Serve as an example and motivate others to rise to the occasion to meet objectives every day, especially during seasonal peaks.
  • Take part in all work functions. The Group Lead instructs others while also personally performing work tasks.
  • Although this position is a Group Lead position, it is not a supervisory position. All Wholesale Fulfillment Associates report to the Wholesale Fulfillment managerial team.
  • Work in a hands-on, active manner.

7) Meet deadlines while respecting the Merchandise
  • This position requires an appreciation of the deadlines inherent in the industry. Because of the seasonality of the business, timeliness is essential. Merchandise is either on time or the deadline is missed; there is no concept of lateness. Deadlines must be met.
  • Many of the accounts that require VAS on their orders also require that the orders ship within a specific time frame. The Stocking and Wholesale Fulfillment Group Lead must be mindful of shipping deadlines.

Qualifications for the Position
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a distribution or materials handling environment is preferred.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • This position requires responsibility, dependability and commitment.
  • Basic personal computer skills on Microsoft Excelâ, Microsoft Wordâ and Manhattan are required for the position. Training will be provided if necessary.
  • Ability to independently move, stack, and load boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • This position requires prior experience of forklifts or similar machinery.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a 24-foot box truck.
