Job description

SALARY RANGE: $20 - $21/hour  

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Performs service for the energy department with propane, diesel, gasoline and DEF support. Provides excellent customer service in a timely and accurate manner to increase customer satisfaction and maintain the reputation and profitability of the organization. Fill role of backup delivery driver for LP/Fuel/DEF. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assess customer’s needs, complete service instructed by service manager and to customer’s satisfaction, and complete service documentation.
  • Plumbing/Cleaning/Painting/Servicing of new and used LP and Fuel Tanks
  • Organizing and stocking part room and LP Service Shop.
  • Assisting the service team as assigned by Energy Service Manager
  • Assisting in the painting and maintenance of company and customer LP/Fuel tanks.
  • Setting of fuel & propane tanks.
  • Assisting energy department tracking lease equipment.
  • Serve as a backup propane/fuel delivery driver during times of peak demand or driver absence.
  • Provide Fast Stop general maintenance at gas stations in the northern part of South Central’s territory.
  • Repacking oil, warehouse maintenance, unloading trucks, etc. at the Gays warehouse.
  • Further develop mechanical skills, learn new techniques and remain current with product requirements to meet safety specifications while maintaining quality workmanship.
  • Ensure that all sales tickets are completed, signed and submitted accurately to ensure all tickets are processed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inventory on truck and have knowledge and understanding of all parts, part numbers and part descriptions.
  • Must perform moderate to heavy physical activities in all weather conditions. At times must be able to lift significant weight safely.
  • Maintain safe working environment and upon completion of day’s work ensure job site is clean and clear of debris.
  • Orders, maintains, and manages propane parts inventory as well as liquid fuel parts.
  • Collaborates with energy sales manager and specialist in an effort to generate additional, profitable sales throughout the year
  • Receives and responds to customer inquiries, complaints, and needs in the best interest of the customer, as well as the company’s well being
  • Utilize technology implemented with service team.
  • Maintains company vehicle, performs basic maintenance as needed.
  • Adheres to the company Uniform Policy and maintains the appropriate professional image.
  • Able to work from heights and work in inclement weather.
  • Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures.  EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures must be adhered to at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years or more of experience to demonstrate strong reasoning ability to solve practical problems and handle customer inquiries and concerns. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement. Must be able to obtain and maintain CTEP certification.
