Job description

Responsible for day-to-day activities pertaining to transitioning material from staging area to final location in the racks and consolidating material. All while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Essential Responsibilities In addition to the Responsibilities of “Stocker”: Move items from sorter staging area and assigning it a location in the racks Consolidate material in the racks Organize pallets by type, size, grade etc. Keep items in the correct areas of the racks designated by the Receiving Supervisor Ensure all designated equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.). Maintain a safe work environment and reports all safety hazards to the Receiving Supervisor Information and Activities Critical to Process Quality  Once the sorters have completed an AR, the material is staged and ready for stockers to put in a final location. o The stockers are provided with a copy of the AR that states how many of each line item are needed to be put into the racks. o As material is put into the racks, the stocker is to indicate which locations they put each line item on their copy of the AR. o Once completed, the stocker is to sign their name on their copy AR and give the copy to Receiving Clerk.  Responsible for consolidating like material into the fewest locations possible to conserve space.  Responsible for organizing like items on pallets from back to front so that no separate items are hidden behind other items.  Ensure all issued equipment is in proper working condition and accounted for. (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.)  Report safety hazards to Receiving Supervisor.  Duties are not limited to the ones described above, and may be expanded as needed.
