Produce Stocker

Holiday Market in Royal Oak, MI is looking for an organized and energetic produce stocker to assist in the success of our company while expanding on their work skills.

Job Responsibilities of the Produce Stocker:

· Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers providing exceptional customer service

· Stock produce on shelves and displays throughout the department in a careful, clean, neat and expedient manner, ensuring that all product is fresh, rotated and well stocked for our customers while maintaining great customer service

· Clean shelves as they are restocked; fill and build displays

· Receive and unload deliveries, check for accuracy, and store product in designated areas

· Using equipment and tools, keep sales and work area swept clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards

· Exercise proper safety practices when lifting or moving product

· Perform price changes when necessary and report customer issues, shorts, overages, and damaged product to store management

Other Requirements:

· Must be a foodie and love to learn about food as well as have basic knowledge in produce (know the difference between Italian parsley and cilantro)

· Must have strong organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills

· Ability to complete daily workload with limited supervision

· Prior experience in grocery retail preferred but not required

· Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

· Must be 18 years of age and available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
