Job description

Position Summary

Our Stockers support the Grocery Manager and Grocery Lead in maintaining the store's dry grocery, dairy, frozen foods, and bulk operations. Stockers will focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the center store departments are well-stocked, organized and visually appealing. This position plays a key role in the overall success of the store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, welcoming customer service at all times.
  • Work closely with the Grocery Manager and Grocery Lead to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize inventory shrink
  • Ensure shelves, displays, and promotional areas are well-stocked, organized, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Comply with OSHA policies, food safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to deliver on merchandising and promotional objectives.
  • Work with the Receiving Supervisor to quickly and accurately process deliveries.
  • Maintain clean and organized backroom stock areas.
  • Complete daily cleaning duties as required by the Manager on Duty (MOD).

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Relevant industry experience preferred, but not required
  • Basic knowledge of computers and POS systems preferred
  • Strong understanding of store operations, merchandising, inventory management, and labor planning
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperature environments (coolers, freezers, kitchens)
