Job description

SUMMARY
The Produce Stocker Associate is directly responsible for the replenishment, rotation, organization, and presentation of product in the produce department. The Produce Stocker Associate may be charged with a variety of other tasks that directly support the produce operation. The Produce Stocker Associate reports to the Produce Merchandising Supervisor or the Produce Merchandising Specialist in his/her absence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintain product displays within the produce department under the direction of a lead or supervisor.
  • Learn and apply protocols pertaining to presentation, rotation, organization, and replenishment of product.
  • Learn and apply protocols pertaining to proper signage.
  • Learn and apply quality standards of product.
  • Assist with the disposal of trash/boxes from the building.
  • Safely operate a baler for card board boxes.(Must be at least 18 years old)
  • Assist with ensuring safe work environment for our employees and a safe customer experience for our customers.
  • Apply health and safety protocols under the direction of management.
  • Maintain a healthy working relationship with peers.
  • Demonstrate and support a high level of integrity. Represent Freshfields Farm in a courteous and professional manner while interacting with all customers and coworkers.
  • Use ladders for various purposes throughout the building.
  • Occasionally use knives for purposes of cutting/prepping produce.
  • Assist with any other tasks within the building that require additional manpower.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervising is not an essential responsibility for this job. However, management may temporarily place a stocker associate in charge of the stocker team in some unique situations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None Required. Driver's License Preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Strong attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, and protocol manuals.
