Job description

Department: Midwest Auto Parts/Midwest Parts Hub
Functions: Assist in the detailed coordination and operation of the parts department including processing customer returns and cores. Responsible for receiving, unloading, checking, stocking, picking, returning, verifying accuracy, etc.
Relationships: Reports to Warehouse Manager
Responsibilities and Authority:
  • Process all customer returns from driver's return area, issuing credit to customers, and reshelving returned items.
  • Process RIM and obsolescence returns to GM. Prepare these returns in compliance with GM policies to ensure credit is received.
  • Move incoming product to correct departments and assist in shelving/placing parts into their correct location.
  • Process cores from driver return area to the designated core area. Work with Logistics Coordinator to learn the core return process from the core room to the outbound cages as well as data entry in Global Connect to generate core return labels.
  • Coverage of vacations, absences, lunches, or any need for additional assistance for the following positions. Will be required to perform all duties and job functions under these two job descriptions:
  • Picker/Stocker
  • Logistics Coordinator
  • Operate a forklift, man lift, scissor lift, pallet jack or hand truck to move or hoist parts from shipping and receiving areas in a safe manner.
  • Empty waste cans, sweep, clean, and cut down cardboard for disposal.
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary by Management.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license in good standing. Excellent communication skills required. Basic mathematical and reasoning skills required. Forklift course completion certificate required. Must have basic computer skills. Employee must be able to lift/move 25 lbs. consistently and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Working Conditions:
Work in a warehouse setting. Will have to utilize a forklift and possibly a delivery vehicle. Will stand, stoop, lift, kneel, crouch, or reach during the shift and at times climb steps. This position requires exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Time may be split between office and warehouse settings.
