 Labourer/Stockkeeper/ Assembler 

Pay : CAD $24.40

Hours: 7:30Am – 4:00PM (Regular Fulltime)

Monday – Friday

Who we are looking for:

Sasco, a division of Atkore, is currently searching for a Labourer/ Stockkeeper / Order Assembler to be based out of Toronto. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years relevant General Labour, order packing and manufacturing experience. Experience in lean manufacturing is a plus. Must be authorized to work in Canada. 

The Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Able to assemble parts, component sections, pack orders, unpack orders, help with shipping, receiving, and stock products as needed.
  • Responsible for packaging all products, components for shipment / inventory.
  • Assist with loading and unloading with the Forklift and Overhead Crane.
  • Adhere to all Life Savings Rules, including Lock out tag/out (LOTO), Machine guarding, / Bypassing safety controls, powered industrials Truck (PIT) safety protocols; OHSA, Safety Policies.
  • Adhere and follow to all other Atkore policies, such as Respect & Anti-harassment, free workplace of Drug and alcohol..etc
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work the full time assigned shifts.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse or production environment is an asset
  • One to three (1 to 3) years of experience working as a General Labourer is required.
  • One to three (1 to 3) years of manufacturing and fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Order packing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions and labels
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs as required and able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, material handling and stockkeeping practices is an asset.
  • Positive and professional approach, self-motivated, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own or part of a team.
  • Eager and interest to learn continuously in manufacturing environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Strong attention to safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
