Summary

The Smart Factory Technician will work in a highly automated environment to support the overall layout of ESMI building #1 and #2 and the installation project of Factory Automation (FA) equipment in the ESMI buildings. You will support production and technology teams, including installation and maintenance of automated process flow equipment including AGVs, stockers, and conveyors. You will help install the equipment and also consider the operation and maintenance scenarios during the mass production taking into effect safety, quality, cost, and the efficiency of the newly applied system.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and monitor the PLC logics of the FA equipment in all processes using the specifications and inspection logic
  • Support engineers and the direct manager for any improvements of FA equipment and follow-up any issues
  • Troubleshoot any issues in the FA equipment based off of the issues in other LGES sites
  • Review the layout drawing and update the layout of ESMI building #1 and #2 under the guidance of the direct manager
  • Collaborate with other teams and vendors to improve the building layout and follow-up any issue
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    1. Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    2. Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience

Experience:

  • 1 to 3+ years of manufacturing experience desired
  • Prior experience using hand tools in a manufacturing environment
